Madi Stine
Madi Stine is an award-winning writer/director based in Los Angeles. She’s interested in telling stories about the American West and the dreamers it’s attracted throughout history. Madi earned a BA in Film and English from Harvard University where she graduated with honors and was a Fulbright Scholar. As a Fulbright Scholar, she affiliated with the University of British Columbia, researching and writing a historical screenplay set on the Canadian frontier. Madi then relocated to New York where she earned an MFA in Screenwriting/Directing from Columbia University. While at Columbia, her horror-comedy short, Rose & Pinky are Metal, screened in the US and internationally before being acquired by ShortsTV. Her latest short, Out of Water, won Best Short at Myrtle Beach International Film Festival. She plans on directing the project as a feature. Another of Madi’s features, Emery & Ellsworth Make a Picture, won the Harvardwood Writers Competition 2023, was selected for Cine Qua Non’s Script Revision Lab, and was a Nicholl Quarterfinalist. Madi has been a participant of the CineStory Feature Retreat.
